Founders

Dr. Edward Robillard is the founder and President of ie Student Support. He is also the founding President (retired) and Board Member of Inspire Charter Schools.

 

Dr. Robillard has been a high school principal and teacher since 1988. He was the Principal of Holy Family High School in Glendale, the Principal of Santa Clara High School in Oxnard, the founding Principal of West Adams Preparatory High School in Los Angeles and the Principal of Manual Arts High School also in Los Angeles. He was a mathematics teacher at Jordan High School in Los Angeles and South Gate High School in South Gate. He became the Chief School Administrator of MLA Partner Schools in 2009.

Dr. Robillard served as President of the USC Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International. He received that chapter’s highest award, the Ted Gordan award in 2001 and 2015, the only member in the chapter’s history to receive the award twice. He was a founding Advisory Board member of A Better LA, an organization founded in 2003 by then USC Head Coach Pete Carroll to combat gang violence. He is a Board Trustee for Community Christian College.


Dr. Robillard earned a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a master degree in business economics from the University of California Santa Barbara and a doctorate
degree in educational leadership from the University of Southern California.


He is a retired Commander in the United States Naval Reserves.
